Waiver Wire Wide Receivers that may be available in your dynasty League now

Here are my favorite waiver wire wide receivers for dynasty week 8. Let’s get right into it.

Jalen MacMillan

Chris Godwin is out for the season. Mike Evans sustained a hamstring injury that should keep him out for at least a few weeks. it’s still Tuesday morning and we’re waiting, but it looks bad. This is the Number one pickup for the week. He is on a good offense with a good quarterback. He could be very productive right away. He has out-snapped Palmer since his first game, so he is not a threat. Sterling Shepard has been playing long enough to let us know he isn’t that dude either. THIS IS THE PRIORITY!!!! spend the FAAB. If he is out there, get him.

Cedrick Tillman (2nd yr) Tennessee

I always liked Tillman. I just never moved on him because of the terrible situation in Cleveland. Well… Watson is done for the year, so we can finally put some faith back in that WR room. We all know Winston likes to throw it, so why not pick up his new favorite WR target? With Cooper gone, he stepped right into the starting role. He went 8/12 receptions for 81 yards on Sunday. Before yesterday he had 3 catches for 9 yards on the season. Last year he caught 21/22 catchable passes. He was good then, and still is.

Maybe he is why they felt comfortable shipping Cooper. We might finally see what we have in Tillman now that there is a real NFL QB behind center. He is worth considering a pickup in redraft, and absolutely worth a spot on any dynasty roster. Owners may have cut him because they were concerned about his place on the depth chart, and the overall lack of production in the offense as a whole.

WR Rickey Pearsall
WR Rickey Pearsall
Ricky Pearsall (R) Florida I know it’s s probably too late, but check.

Ricky Pearsall has all of the tools to be an elite WR in the league. He was one of the best wide receivers at the senior bowl and was drafted in the first round this summer. He also had one of the most ridiculous catches in CFB ever.

Unfortunately, he was sidelined most of camp with an injury, and then the shooting happened. Fast forward to Sunday. Pearsall played his first pro game in week 7, exactly 50 days after getting shot in the chest. I’m sold on his skills and toughness. We can forgive any rookie if he didn’t go off his first pro game ever, without all the extra nonsense Pearsall is dealing with. Ricky went 3/5, 3/3 on catchable targets for 21 yards. No big deal, but all things considered it’s great. This could be a tier one asset on waivers. If he is available, grab him.

If Ricky is gone, Jacob, great first name btw, Cowing. More on him later.

Where to get Wide Receiver vs. Cornerback Matchup Data
Where to get WR vs CB Matchup Data
Tutu Atwell (4th yr) Louisville

With rumors of a Cooper Kupp trade afoot, Atwell stands to gain massively if the Rams decide to ship the veteran WR. He has 34 targets, out of which he nabbed 23/24 of those which were catchable. he is buried behind big name players, for the last couple years if the volume is there, he could be good.

Jacob Cowing SF (R) UTEP/AZ

He is available in most leagues. Dude was electric in college. His last two seasons at Arizona he caught 175 passes for 1,882 yards and 20 TDs. We want to stash good WRs on good offenses, right? Definitely a deeper stash but you aren’t finding a better resume on the waiver wire at the moment. Cowing is buried in a deep WR room. His time will come.

Mason Tipton NO (R) Yale (No not including Cedrick) Wilson (7th) because I think we know what we have there

Tipton caught 6/9 passes for 45 yards and outshone last week’s darling Bub Means. He might be worth rostering moving forward but this is a deeper one. Whenever you see a rookie make a splash like that you need to pay attention. I have a feeling New Orleans is going to be behind a lot in the near future. There should be a lot of targets go around.

Conclusion

This is not an end all be all waiver wire wide receiver list. Iff you have any other players in mind, I’d love to hear your thoughts. If you have read this far though, please go follow me @jacobmayeresky on X. It would really help me out. I’m always willing to help with any questions. Really! if I see it, I’ll answer.
