How Share Prices Work
Every team starts at a $10.00 IPO when the league is created. After each weekly matchup, share prices move based on five factors:
Margin of Victory
Every win gives a guaranteed +2% boost, plus +0.1% per point of margin. Win by 20? That's +4%. Losses work the same in reverse: -2% base, -0.1% per point.
Upset Factor
Beat a team with a higher share price? Bonus boost up to +2%. Lose to a cheaper team? Extra penalty up to -2%. Upsets create the biggest swings.
Roster Strength
Powered by FantasyCalc asset values. Bottom 10% rosters lose up to 2% of their win bonus — the market doesn't trust the wins to last. Top 10% rosters gain up to +2% extra. Losses are affected inversely.
Market Pressure
Buying pushes prices up, shorting pushes them down. Impact uses a square root curve — bigger trades move prices less per dollar. Capped at 1.5% per trade and 3% per stock per week. 3% fee on all trades. 24hr cooldown between price impacts.
Championship Bonus 🏆
Win the championship and your stock gets a +15% bonus. Runner-up earns +8%. Lose in the semifinals? Still a +4% boost. These bonuses are applied at the end of each season and compound across years — dynasties are rewarded.
Prices compound across all seasons — dominant dynasties can climb past $30 while bottom-feeders can sink below $1. Championship winners get a +15% boost, runners-up +8%, and semifinalists +4%. Market hours: Tue 10am – Sun 1pm ET. Trading is locked during championship week.
