Updated April 20, 2026
The 2026 NFL Mock Draft window is closing fast – Round 1 kicks off Thursday, April 23 in Pittsburgh, and the first-round board has not been this volatile in a long time. After the Giants-Bengals trade last Friday, the top 10 is officially reshuffled, two running backs are trending inside the first round, and the projected QB order below Fernando Mendoza remains a moving target. Below is the consensus final first-round projections for the 2026 NFL Mock Draft, synthesizing Mel Kiper Jr.’s final ESPN mock, Daniel Jeremiah’s NFL Network board, and a consensus big board – with dynasty fantasy football implications on every skill-position pick.
What would the 2026 NFL Draft look like if it was based on numbers alone? 👀🤔
1. RAIDERS: Fernando Mendoza, QB
3. CARDINALS: Carson Beck, QB
5. GIANTS: Jeremiyah Love, RB
18. VIKINGS: Caleb Downs, S
31. PATRIOTS: Carnell Tate, WRClick here to see the full draft 🔗:… pic.twitter.com/1nms2WLMOu

Why the Raiders Take Fernando Mendoza at No. 1
The consensus since the end of the College Football season has been near-unanimous: the Las Vegas Raiders will open the 2026 NFL Draft by selecting Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza. Kiper, Daniel Jeremiah, Field Yates and Bleacher Report’s model-based mock all land on Mendoza. The Raiders have finished in the bottom five in QBR over the past five seasons. Mendoza’s 2025 production at Indiana (41 TDs, 6 INTs) could give Las Vegas the production profile they have been missing since Derek Carr’s peak.
Dynasty fantasy takeaway: a Raiders landing spot is neutral-to-slight-positive for Mendoza’s Superflex value. Las Vegas has invested heavily in pass-catchers over the last two drafts, but the offensive line remains a work in progress.
2026 NFL Mock Draft: Picks 1-10
1. Las Vegas Raiders — Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana. See above. The tone-setter for the entire draft.
2. New York Jets — David Bailey, OLB, Texas Tech. With Ty Simpson still on the board, Kiper’s final mock has the Jets passing on a quarterback and taking the Texas Tech OLB. New York’s pass rush finished 31st in total pressures in 2025 — the Bailey pick makes perfect sense here.
3. Arizona Cardinals — Arvell Reese, OLB, Ohio State. Arizona’s edge room is one of the league’s thinnest, and Reese’s skillset has him stacked as OLB2 on most consensus boards. A run on QB2 could push Arizona into a trade-down window, but on-board value takes them here.
4. Tennessee Titans — Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame. Possibly Kiper’s boldest projection. Love’s 2025 line at Notre Dame (1,372 rushing yards, 18 TDs, 6.9 YPC, 280 receiving yards) puts him in line with the likes of Bijan Robinson and Ashton Jeanty as recent Running Backs drawing true top-5 Mock NFL Draft buzz.
Dynasty takeaway: a top-5 landing spot is a volume-ceiling dream. Although, Tennessee’s offensive line ranked 26th in ESPN’s Run Block Win Rate in 2025, and Love would inherit a 240-carry workload. If he lands here, he is the 1.01 in every Superflex and 1-QB dynasty rookie draft without debate. Although, can he overcome the performance of a sub-par offensive line unit?
5. New York Giants — Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State. New head coach John Harbaugh has publicly prioritized building a “more physical team.” Downs’ consensus grade (the No. 1 prospect on Yahoo Sports’ final board) gives the Giants a Pro Bowl–caliber safety to anchor the back end.
6. Cleveland Browns — Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State. Cleveland’s interior defense collapsed after the midseason injuries of 2025. Kiper has the Cowboys trading up here, but if the Browns stand pat, Styles is the highest-graded player on the defensive board.
7. Washington Commanders — Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State. Adam Schefter has connected Jeremiyah Love to Washington on every podcast this week, but with Love off the board at 4, the Commanders pivot to the top wideout. Tate is the WR1 on most final boards.
Dynasty takeaway: a Commanders landing spot is a mild downgrade vs. the Cowboys or Chiefs scenarios floating around Tate – Washington’s receiver room is crowded – but the volume is real and the quarterback room is settled.
8. New Orleans Saints — Rueben Bain Jr., DE, Miami. New Orleans’ pass rush has been a dead zone since Cameron Jordan aged out. Bain is easily one of the highest-graded ends in the class by many.
9. Kansas City Chiefs — Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State. The Chiefs have taken a wideout in Round 1 in back-to-back drafts, but the Tyson-to-KC connection has been one of the most appealing rumors with the potential of giving Mahomes a top WR prospect.
Dynasty takeaway: if Tyson lands with Patrick Mahomes, his 2026 rookie ADP will spike immediately. In Superflex, he probably jumps into the 1.02-1.04 tier on landing spot alone.
10. New York Giants (from CIN) — Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami. The Dexter Lawrence trade handed New York a second first. Harbaugh’s stated mandate – win in the trenches – makes an offensive tackle the sensical pick.
Picks 11-20: The Running Back and Wide Receiver Mock NFL Draft Runs
11. Miami Dolphins — Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU. Miami’s secondary has aged quickly. Delane’s press-man traits fit how Mike McDaniel’s staff wants to line up.
12. Dallas Cowboys — Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama. Tyron Smith’s replacement has been unresolved for two seasons. Proctor is a plug-and-play left tackle.
13. Los Angeles Rams (from ATL) — Makai Lemon, WR, USC. Puka Nacua is a star, but the Rams’ WR2 picture has been murky. Lemon could be the piece Sean McVay is looking for to set his receiving room back on the right track. For Dynasty, a Rams landing spot would increase up his rookie-draft value given McVay’s history with producing top Wide Receivers.

14. Baltimore Ravens — Spencer Fano, OL, Utah. Ronnie Stanley is 32 and in the middle year of his 3-year contract. The Ravens have drafted offensive linemen in Round 1 under Eric DeCosta before – this fits the pattern.
15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon. Cade Otton has been serviceable, but never a difference-maker. Sadiq can give Baker Mayfield the seam threat that Tampa’s offense has lacked since Rob Gronkowski retired. See our breakdown: Is Kenyon Sadiq the Next Travis Kelce?
16. New York Jets (from IND) — Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana. Garrett Wilson is locked in as the WR1, although the Jets’ WR2 spot is thin.
17. Detroit Lions — Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia. Detroit’s line remains a strength, but Penei Sewell insurance behind Taylor Decker has been overdue.
18. Minnesota Vikings — Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon. Harrison Smith still has not officially retired. Thieneman is the cleanest Smith replacement on the board for when he does either this year or next. Or in 2035.
19. Carolina Panthers — Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo. The Panthers’ back end has been a revolving door. Consensus has McNeil-Warren rising into Round 1 after a strong March pro day.
20. Dallas Cowboys — Denzel Boston, WR, Washington. With CeeDee Lamb commanding 30% of the targets, Dallas has been looking for a true X-receiver. Boston may be just the one to fill that mold.
Picks 21-32: Late First-Round Dynasty Fantasy Landing Spots
21. Pittsburgh Steelers — Olaivavega Ioane, G, Penn State. Pittsburgh is the host city and walks away with an interior OL upgrade.
22. Los Angeles Chargers — Peter Woods, DT, Clemson. Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers have used the draft to rebuild the defense through the trenches every draft he’s been in charge. This continues the pattern.
23. Philadelphia Eagles — Blake Miller, OT, Clemson. Lane Johnson is 35. Howie Roseman will not wait until a need becomes an emergency.
24. Cleveland Browns (from JAX) — Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee. Cleveland’s haul of first-round picks this year continues – McCoy’s tape vs. SEC speed is legitimate.
25. Chicago Bears — Zion Young, DE, Missouri. Chicago’s defense was the 7th worst in sacks in 2025. Young is the rotational starter they could use immediately.
26. Buffalo Bills — Keldric Faulk, DE, Auburn. Buffalo’s front has aged around Von Miller. Faulk’s abilities can give them a Day 1 rotational rusher with starter upside.
27. San Francisco 49ers — Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State. Trent Williams won’t play forever. Kyle Shanahan’s staff has been scouting OTs all spring.
28. Houston Texans — Christen Miller, DT, Georgia. Interior defensive line has been one of Houston’s top needs for two drafts. Miller is the top DT still on the board.
29. Kansas City Chiefs — Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee. A CB1 replacement plan has been building for a year. Hood’s ball skills stand out on the consensus board.
30. Arizona Cardinals (from MIA) — Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama. The run on QB2 plays out. If Arizona takes Simpson at 30, it would be a second year a team trades up into the 1st round to select a QB.
Dynasty takeaway: this is a long-term QB2 stash. Even if the Cardinals come out winless by their bye week, they’d be smart to let Simpson sit to learn the system and life as an NFL QB.
31. New England Patriots — Akheem Mesidor, DE, Miami. The first Mike Vrabel move post-scandal continues along the defensive front.
32. Seattle Seahawks — Jadarian Price, RB, Notre Dame. The Seahawks close Round 1 with a second running back — the second year in a row two RBs would be selected in Round 1. Price was Love’s thunder-and-lightning partner at Notre Dame, and the landing spot with Brian Fleury gives him a pass-catching usage path out of the gate.
Biggest Dynasty Fantasy Football Takeaways From The Final 2026 NFL Mock Draft
If this 2026 NFL Mock Draft plays out close to form, three storylines reshape dynasty rookie draft boards the moment Round 1 ends:
- Jeremiyah Love at 4 cements his 1.01. The Titans’ landing spot is the highest-volume opportunity in the top of the class. In any Superflex format where rookie QBs are going top-3, Love could drop to the 1.02. In 1-QB leagues, he is a consensus 1.01.
- Two RBs in Round 1 resets the RB tier. Jadarian Price at 32 to Seattle could flip his rookie ADP. A second-round ADP could a mid-first.
- Tate to Washington trims his ceiling, not his floor. Carnell Tate is the WR1 regardless — Schefter’s Love-to-Washington narrative has been the main reason the Love-to-Titans projection did not emerge sooner — but the landing spot is neither the bull case (Chiefs) nor the bear case (late-first team with a crowded room).
